Not Yet Flying

A miracle of God’s design
In the glimpse of a butterfly, I see hope, the promise that I, too, can reach the height of God’s design for me.
I run along, not yet flying, with faith that I, too, will transform by receiving Christ and following him. I focus on the prize.
This day, however, I saw more fully what is required to achieve the butterfly’s dance of praise. It requires pain: a time of heat, fasting, stillness, solitude. It requires faith that preparation and self-sacrifice will bring the necessary transformation.
Sustained faith through times of desolation will bring sustained glory to our God on high.
