Freedom to follow Christ

By Greg Zambrano
Kids learn the act of contrition while preparing to receive holy Communion. The act of contrition points to and teaches the way to reconcile with Christ.
In life, from one reconciliation to the next, we try achieve holiness.
I tell my kids to try their best to live a pure Catholic life. When they or any of us fail to keep God’s commandments, we know confession is needed to receive absolution.
It is advisable to go to confession on a regular basis.
Do not be ashamed to be an orthodox Catholic and teach your children the same. Do not be ashamed to follow Christ and do your best to never break his word.
If you are blessed to live 100 years, it would be best to prepare now to live a life follow Christ rather than a careless life in total denial and disregard to God’s word.
Our souls are created for eternity. I encourage everyone to persevere and take up their cross. Follow Christ our eternal reward awaits.
