The Lord showed up bigger!

By Kristy Solis

In this new year, cancer showed up in my life. I can attest to “The Lord showed up bigger!” The cancer has already altered our family’s life; however, my hope is for the change will be for the good. “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

A new life or a new chapter of my life has come not just for me; but, for everyone who is on this journey with me. My family and I learned immediately that the Lord will provide through this uncertain time. We have been carried with support and prayer.

Through the instruments of others, the Lord has provided strength, the Lord has provided comfort, and the Lord has provided balance to uphold us upright throughout this overwhelming time.

We are beyond blessed as a family to have a loving Lord, who is with us every step of the way, offering us peace and rest along the way.

We all are facing uncertainty right now. For my family, our life battle just happens to be cancer. No matter what challenges we are all experiencing, we need to remember, “The Lord is with us! The Lord will never leave us alone!”

Lord, hear our prayers of thanksgiving for being the shining light in the darkness. Lord, continue to bring peace to the chaos, bring joy to the sadness and always carry hope in our hearts.
