Feed Yourself Positivity

By Stacy Lamorte

The power of feeding ourselves Christian-based – especially Catholic-based – positive messages cannot be underestimated. Life has been downright difficult over the last 1 ½ years, and it can only benefit us to be constantly fed by fruitful, faith-based content.

I am not saying to bury your head and not educate yourself about what is happening in the world, but it can be overwhelming if that is all you are being fed day after day.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to tune your radio to AM 690 when driving in your car. You may catch the rosary, the Diving Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m. or Father Robert Barron’s inspiration. If you have Sirius XM, Channel 129 would be your go-to, feed-me-some-faith station.

I have learned so much about my faith and our Catholic religion on these stations; sometimes I don’t want to get out of my car if I am in the middle of an interesting interview!

I also love Catholic podcasts.  Just search for “Catholic podcasts” on your tech of choice and find a litany of resources from education to motivation.  My favorite time to listen to these is while getting dressed in the morning.  I ask God to tell me what I need to hear that day!

Don’t want to listen to talk radio? Any of the Christian music stations are also great if you need to be moved by the soothing sounds of God’s word being spoken in song. They say, “You are what you eat,” both physically and spiritually, so feed yourself well!
