Don’t Know What to Write About, but I’m Grateful

By Gaby Smith

There are moments like today that I have absolutely no idea what to write about. I try my best to be a real, upfront person.

When you ask me how I am, I tell you. If you were to ask me what this article is going to be about, I’d tell you I have no idea.

Right now, I’m just grateful for what God has given me right now. The weather is cooler, the festivities this time of year are underway, and I’m thankful.

Although I go through trials every day, I’m reminded daily of what God has given me: a roof over my head, food on the table and a healthy family.

So right now, I’m thanking God for life today. I’m thanking God for the freedom of prayer in our country. I’m thanking God for you and for your family.

Sometimes, we have nothing to say. Being grateful and thankful and telling God how you feel can strengthen your relationship with him. He knows exactly what you need at just the right time, and at that moment, you can tell him “thank you.”

Are you grateful for what you have today? If so, why are you grateful right now? Tell God. He wants to hear from you.

  1. Lovely reminder, Gaby! It doesn’t always have to be about “stuff” and things to do. When you allow yourself to get out of the way and stop long enough, you realize there is a greater purpose in life. Acknowledging God…and your gratitude to Him.
