The Traditions of Advent Begin With Us

As Advent approaches, my husband and I were discussing what advent traditions our families had while we were growing up.
We are a young family with a 2-year-old, and we want to be more intentional this Advent season in preparing our hearts for the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord.

Turns out my husband’s family didn’t have an Advent tradition, and I vaguely remember an Advent calendar from my childhood.
But that’s the great thing about traditions! We have the ability to start our own family traditions!

This year, we will be starting our very first Advent tradition, with the classic Advent wreath and accompanying prayers.
